Electromagnetic Code Consortium
The EMCC is a government led organization consisting of members from industry, academia, and various laboratories and product centers across the government. The organization has existed for nearly 20 years leading national collaboration and coordination in computational electromagnetics.
- The EMCC generates and manages electromagnetics code benchmark geometries and data along with associated measurement efforts.
- It manages distribution of and access to a suite of codes available for use by government organizations and their contractors and provides access to these codes on national supercomputing major shared resource centers.
- The highlight of the EMCC efforts is the annual conference with attendees from across the Services, NASA, DARPA, FCC, industry, and academia.
Electromagnetics modeling and simulation increasingly play a key role the development and testing of military critical technology, reinforcing the continued importance and essential role of the EMCC.
Secure Website
Access to Secure Website: Most of the EMCC website is now hosted on a secure Virtual Distributed Laboratory (VDL) server including further details on benchmark geometries and data, codes, and conference details. To get an account on this system...
- Click 'request account' from https://www.vdl.afrl.af.mil/ using an EMCC GEC member who knows you as your VDL account sponsor. If such a person does not exist, phone the chairman at the number below.
- After the account is approved, you can access the EMCC website at https://restricted.vdl.afrl.af.mil/programs/emcc/.
Requests for either code or data can be made by filling out the request form from the secure site and submitting to the current chair, EMCC Chairman
Export control requirements require conference attendees and website visitors who are not US Government employees to submit a valid certification number from a Military Critical Technical Data Agreement (DD Form 2345) when registering for the conference and website access. If a company certification number is used, proof of employment (such as a company ID) must be presented when checking in at the conference site. For information on the Military Critical Technical Data Agreement, please visit http://www.dlis.dla.mil/jcp/default.asp.
